We had a great time this Christmas. I will post pictures of Christmas morning soon. We were able to go to the Annual Hatch Christmas party on the 23rd and partake in the festivities including a manger scene and a visit from Santa. Peyton was able to be Mary this year, Rylee was a Shepherdess and Aubree was a very unwilling angel. Rylee and Peyton also really enjoyed that chance to put in their last requests to Santa, but as you can tell by the pictures, Aubree wasn't having it, and no, that wasn't a red cast from Santa's furry coat... she really was that red in person. Dane quickly took her back and put her on his lap next to Santa, but she wanted nothing to do with him. The funny thing is that she really isn't afraid of strangers, but I guess ones with a big white beard and read coat are a different story. Rylee also recited a poem from this month's Ensign magazine about the true meaning of Christmas, per her grandma's request. It was so sweet. She practiced all week long. She did a great job!
The girls were able to collect on pretty much everything that they wanted this year between Santa, Mom and Dad and the Grandparents. They have been busily playing with all of their toys, playing their new keyboard, wearing their new clothes and roller skating around my house on the CARPET.
