Mom: Uh, yes.
Rylee: Well, then how come they have 'em at Fry's? (reading the sign on the outside of the Fry's Food and Drug that is down the street from us)
Mom: Oh, sweetie, those are a different kind of drugs, you know, the kind that help you to feel better when you have a cold or a tummy ache.
Dad: Yeah, the kind that you are talking about are illegal. They can really mess your head up.
Peyton: Oh, is that what happened to you when you were in the hospital Daddy.
Dad: No, no, no... remember Daddy had an accident and hit his head. That's what made Daddy's head "messed up."
By this point in time, we knew that the conversation had gone awry and decided to end it there. To those of you out there that don't have kiddos that can read yet, be warned, and prepare yourself. It creates a whole new set of questions that you have to field. Then add D.A.R.E. to the mix and you'll really have some interesting conversations.
